March Leather Writing Journal Winner!

It is that time again! This month's winner of the Leather Bound Writing Journal is Thomas Hetrick of Phoenix AZ!

I am going into the last weekend of the Renaissance Festival here in AZ and so ready to get home to CO and back to my usual routine.

This has been a very interesting year, I should say "challenging"! It's become apparent that
I was going to have to make changes in regards to what I sell at my show booths in order to keep competitive. For those of you who will see me at CO, there will be some new additions. Yes, it seems I will be back in CO this year. Although I did put the shoppe up for sale last summer there was only a small interest from other parties and nothing that played out.

So, after much thought I came up with some fresh ideas and spoke with the craft coordinator here in AZ about items I would like to start carrying in my booth. She loved my ideas and agreed everything I proposed was a natural extension of my business. She thanked me for remaining true to the guidelines of all items in one's shoppe being crafted solely by the artist. I was informed that out of the 200+ merchants here I was one of six who still handcrafted every item in my shoppe. So, for all of you who've been inquiring for years I will now be adding accessory items such as fine writing instruments, bookmarks, book bags and other things. Now I will need to get the okay from the CO show, which I don't see being a problem.

Not much news other than that.

If any of you have ideas of items you would like to see me carry in my festival shoppes, email me with your suggestions. I would very much appreciate that!! Thank you!

Oh, Leslie! I am glad to know you will be back in CO.

I shall wait with interest to see what your extended lines are going to be.

Hope the last weekend of the AZ show is great for you.

Thanks Leslie! I am excited about being back. I am hiring full time and part time sales help so I don't have to be so tied down every weekend and give myself some much needed time off during the show. I have also semi-committed to going out this weekend and purchasing a new costume! I so need to but have to admit I find it difficult to spend money on things other than books!

It was absolutely wonderful to meet you on the 29th. I love the book I bought and I hope to buy another one. I'd also like to get your Step-by-Step. It would be very fun to make my own as well. I hope to see you again next year at the AZ show. Take care and be in good health!
